Participants
Directions serves 750 participants, including students in grades
6-12, plus high school and college dropouts. A participant must live in
one of the target counties of Crawford, Daviess, Gibson, Martin, Perry,
Pike, Spencer, or Vanderburgh counties in Indiana or Daviess County in
Kentucky. All participants must have a need for Directions services to
increase their likelihood of enrolling in postsecondary education.
Two-thirds of the participants must meet income eligibility requirements
and be potential first-generation college students (meaning neither
parent has a four-year college degree). The remaining one-third does not
have to meet the income and first generation requirements. Directions is
committed to serving participants without regard to race, color,
national origin, gender or disability.
